Sean Buttigieg acquired his Master’s in Architecture (M.A) at the Architecture Class of the Städelschule (SAC) in Frankfurt in 2013. His main focus was architectural research and performative design, Sean’s Masters thesis dealt with material behaviour and computation, innovative fabrication,  and construction processes. This was done following the successful completion of a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering and Architecture from the University of Malta. Since graduating, Sean has worked as junior architect with Godwin Agius of Creative Architectural Studio, Valletta Malta; took part in the 2013 Design Research Exchange (DRX) at HENN Architekten, Berlin; and interned with the Design Team of UNStudio, Amsterdam.
